Proto Embryo EP, by Terrorball

a2569423173_10

I’ve been a longtime fan of New Zealand’s own TERRORBALL, his glorious dance masterpieces are always a soundtrack to the more energetic moments of my life! Last month he dropped this phenomenal little EP Proto Embryo, a 5-track FREE project. Much in TB tradition, the album consists of pulsing electronics carefully crafted on top of infectious rhythms. However this EP was a pleasant surprise, with tracks like Kaiser and Replay stepping outside of the 4 to the floor framework. This album left me wanting more, but lucky for us TERRORBALL has an extensive back catalogue to appreciate, just visit his bandcamp to check it out.

Futur[e]cho 2015 – Various Artists

a2105971281_10

Cold Tear brings us another glorious compilation of deep techno goodness. This super chill long player is a great representation of the label and its artists, containing tracks from some of my favorite producers such as Coppice Halifax and Warmth! With a generous 15 track playlist, this is the kind of record you can put on for an evening at home or a nice long drive. Now available via Bandcamp.

Favorite Track: 5. Oliver Dombi – Worthless

Our 2015 edition of Futur[e]cho brings in a lot of new faces, retains some old ones and has a great feel of atmospheric techno. Everyone went above and beyond what we thought possible for tracks and this release will for sure surprise you. Lots of artists try out new styles to entice the listener that the music can always change as time goes by. Futur[e]cho 2015 is more of a chilled out bliss release, but still very much fits the themes of the series. So why don’t you take a journey along with us?

Summer Rain, by Mikrokristal & Echo Delta

a3312986248_10

Now here is a fantastic record, courtesy of Cold Tear Records (Lithuania). Summer Rain is a phenomenal collaborative project by Mikrokristal and Echo Delta. Together they produce an impressive sound that is as rhythmic as it is fluid. The tone evokes those rain-soaked summer days, with percussion as light as raindrops and synths that wash over you entirely. It combines the emotional depth of deep ambience with trip-hop tendencies. I personally loved all the instrumentation on this album, which I would consider a master-craft of deep electronic music. The 6 track project is available via Bandcamp.

MEMORY LOOPS, by FLOWERS

a0620496552_10

I have recently fallen in love with this album from FLOWERS, brought to us by Dark Pursuits of Washington D.C.

MEMORY LOOPS is a 12 track drone/ambient project with plenty of noise and personality. The compositions range from the subtle and relaxing to pure sonic shredding, and it all works wonderfully together. One after one, FLOWERS constructs unique atmospheres with his exploration of sound. Lo-Fi crackles accompany deep vibrant tones to create a delicious dichotomy that leaves me breathless and wanting for more. The project is available to stream and download via the labels bandcamp.

Exposure, by Alex Humann

a0484978378_10

Archives brings us another stunning project from producer Alex Humann. He generously layers these three deep cuts with some seriously gorgeous sounds. Melodic, relaxing and round, the tone of the whole project is one of positivity and tranquility. Warmth jumps on board to provide track 4, a remix of track three, which really rounds out the whole project. You can listen or download via Bandcamp.

Favorite Track: 2. Interlude I

Alex Humann debuts on Archives with ‘Exposure’, where expands his own aesthetic through warm and organic sounds and subtle texture layers and field recordings. Three atmospheric and lush cuts with Alex very own approach to the dub

a2662268909_10

Here is some truly gorgeous and relaxing ambience, courtesy of a small Japanese label, White Paddy Mountain. Obscured By Beams Of Sorrow is a collaborative project washed in deep minimalism and ambient emotion. Utilizing lush electronics paired with layers of guitar, the duo manages to create a complex and profound landscape around their sound. You can download the project via Bandcamp with the option of a physical CD available for a bit extra. Highly recommended listen for relaxing evenings or laid-back mornings!

Obscured By Beams Of Sorrow is the first collaborative recording between Hakobune and Dirk Serries.
minimalistic electric guitar drone sound melody is pulling the listener into imaginary drone world.
this record has atmosphere of a deep bamboo forest with no sense of reality, such as wander.
and listener will see hallucinogenic visuals Somewhere to see scenery Such as the events in the dream and will feel sustained bass drone sound such as the Freudian obsession. Hakobune

Hakobune AKA Takahiro Yorifuji uses layers of guitar to create

The VHS Chronicles, by Panaphonix

a3204753521_10

The VHS Chronicles by Panaphonix is a electronic freak-fest that was released towards the end of July by Welcome Beauty Sounds. This 10 track project showcases some serious weirdness under an umbrella of vapor tone. Heavy on the rhythms, this album is less about ambience as it is about wonked out future-funk beats. Panaphonix does a great job of keeping the listener interested from the beginning to the end, which for any artist is a job well done! You can stream or donate to download the album via Bandcamp.

Moving EP, by VOIA // Glass Islands

a1574610267_10

VOIA brings us this new EP with Glass Islands, a brief 3 minute journey with a very deep feeling. The project gains momentum and energy as the songs progress, with the first track drifting in ambient bliss leading to the third track with near-dancefloor rhythms and sultry vocals. Though short, it is a fantastic listen for a smokey evening or cruising around the neon nights…

Away, by Tile

a2887636792_10

Lava Church has brought us a new techno-oddity, AWAY by Tile is a brooding swarm of electronic groves and groaning machines.

Over the years, Tile’s Jeff Busko has had a steady output of synthy jams that have slowly drifted into the realm of minimalist techno. Their latest release, Away, is a four-on-the-floor club banger sure to get your juices flowing. Meet me at da club, it’s going down.

Erotic Museum, by MA BOARD OLYMPIC

a0365607165_10

Erotic Museum is the new project from MA BOARD OLYMPIC and release via Italy’s Midnight Side Records. This 10 track project is soaked in future-funk rhythm that makes it impossible to sit still in your seat. Packed full of energy and color the album glides from one track to the next, giving it tons of replay value. You can stream and download the album for free via bandcamp!

MSR NGK004

MA BOARD OLYMPIC has joined our side with a very sweet present called ‘Erotic Museum’, a gathering of dusty and glamorous vaporwave pills. As MSRNGK004, the 10-tracks album is like a colored jukebox from outer space: you can choose your favourite atmosphere and sound, passing through blurry and bubbly melodies to payback and emphatic feelings. Beatdown style is the common denominator for a very hot release. These precious tunes are made from the heart with love, enjoy ‘Erotic Museum’ for free!
