Brought to us by London’s Drift Deeper Recordings, AMFH is a 2-track project by producer Liquid Delay. This is a wonderful-if-brief project, with finesse and nearly effortless sounding deep tones, complimented by delicious sunny rhythms and textures. You can download the project now via the labels Bandcamp page and get both tracks for about a dollar!

Tehnofonika Records Brings us a marvelous summer sampler of Dub-Techno tunes, perfect for relaxing while the sun sets on a hot day. Featuring tracks from some of my favorite producers (Martin Frost, Dublicator) as well as a few fresh finds, this sampler is 10 tracks of high-quality techno tunes. Each song fits perfectly with the relaxed, sunny-mellow vibe, steeped in atmospheric flavor and texture. The album is currently only available for download via the Labels Bandcamp page.

Detroits ECHOSPACE label brings us another pleasant and unique project from CV313, infitit-1 which features 4 total tracks (Original, Remodeled, Unreleased and a Remix by STL). For fans of the deeper dub-techno out there, this release is the perfect balance of techno you can dance to as well as meditate to. Between the 4 versions of the titled track, there is an impressive variety and depth in the material presented. Currently you can only download the project digitally as the Limited Edition Red Vinyl has already sold out, so all we can hope for is a re-pressing of this beauty!

Depth of Sadness, by Slownoise

a3604055646_10

Depth of Sadness is a new EP by Downtempo-Techno artist Jeremy Davies, better known as SLOWNOISE. This 4 track project was just released by Cold Tear Records of Lithuania, whom always seem to release quality tunes. This brief yet brilliant project is equally satisfying as it is relaxing, like a nice meal and a good beer. Well rounded synths and electronics balance perfectly with relaxed and subdued rhythms, with each track holding an energy of its own. Currently the EP is only available for download via Cold Tear Records Bandcamp page.

Sanguine, by aspect.

ARCHIVES has another pleasant release for us in the forms of Sanguine by aspect. This small release packs a great feeling into its 4 tracks (3 versions of the track Hk, as well as the title track, Sanguine). This is one solid EP, currently available via Bandcamp.

Favorite Track: 3. Hk. (Dub)

Our long time favorite artist, Sage Taylor, debuts on Archives with a full EP under his latest project ‘aspect.’. You should know him for being the man behind some of the greatest dub techno and ambient releases of the last years as Textural Being or Parallelism. ‘Sanguine’ expands his color palette with a joyful atmosphere filled with lush chord lines and includes also three different versions of the addictive Hk.

Optical Path by Yone B

Dewtone have some more goodies for us this month, this time from producer Yone B (Guillaume Couttenier) with his Optical Path EP. 4 tracks of soothing dub-techno that anyone familiar with Dewtone’s particular flavor will be able to appreciate. Both melodic and melancholy, filled with deep bass and shimmering percussion, Optical Path is a well rounded project with an attention to detail.

Enchant EP, by Vesa-Matti

a0767075856_10

Heres something upcoming from Ukrainian label Subself, the Enchant EP by Vesa-Matti. Dropping in a few days, this 5 track project (2 originals with 3 remixes) is an assault of deep techno vibes. Strong and minimal, great tracks for bumping in the car on a dark night with moody vibes and huge bass.

Rising Dark EP, by TwichGarden

a1191816640_10

Rising Dark is the latest release from TwichGarden and Kopoc Label of Spain. Both deep and energetic, Rising Dark EP is a great dub project that experiments with all sorts of rhythms and tempos. Each track carries a unique sense of urgency, whether its the off-kilter percussion or the constant sub-bass, making the whole EP shrouded in a mysterious energy. I pretty much enjoyed each track as much as the next, though I feel like the latter half is the strongest in terms of ideas and execution. The final track, which is also the title track of the EP, is a wonderfully deep dub-techno cut which is equally unique and traditional. This one is highly recommended, and as always is available to download via Bandcamp!

Proto Embryo EP, by Terrorball

a2569423173_10

I’ve been a longtime fan of New Zealand’s own TERRORBALL, his glorious dance masterpieces are always a soundtrack to the more energetic moments of my life! Last month he dropped this phenomenal little EP Proto Embryo, a 5-track FREE project. Much in TB tradition, the album consists of pulsing electronics carefully crafted on top of infectious rhythms. However this EP was a pleasant surprise, with tracks like Kaiser and Replay stepping outside of the 4 to the floor framework. This album left me wanting more, but lucky for us TERRORBALL has an extensive back catalogue to appreciate, just visit his bandcamp to check it out.

Futur[e]cho 2015 – Various Artists

a2105971281_10

Cold Tear brings us another glorious compilation of deep techno goodness. This super chill long player is a great representation of the label and its artists, containing tracks from some of my favorite producers such as Coppice Halifax and Warmth! With a generous 15 track playlist, this is the kind of record you can put on for an evening at home or a nice long drive. Now available via Bandcamp.

Favorite Track: 5. Oliver Dombi – Worthless

Our 2015 edition of Futur[e]cho brings in a lot of new faces, retains some old ones and has a great feel of atmospheric techno. Everyone went above and beyond what we thought possible for tracks and this release will for sure surprise you. Lots of artists try out new styles to entice the listener that the music can always change as time goes by. Futur[e]cho 2015 is more of a chilled out bliss release, but still very much fits the themes of the series. So why don’t you take a journey along with us?
