Energostatic Records of Kiev brings us a phenomenal little project from Marc Atmost / Atmeo, The Tales of the Sagebrush Wind.
Only 3 tracks long, this little EP is simultaneously packed with pulsing energy and relaxing vibes. The long-form tracks fluctuate and evolve between textural ambience and hypnotic rhythms. Such as the first track, which takes a full 8-minutes to ramp-up to a serious groove, only to be whisked off into the aether. All in all it is quite satisfying, and I certainly wish it were a longer project! You can grab the digital download via Bandcamp.

What better way to start both the Day and Week than with some truly satisfying deep tunage.
Etoka Records brings us this latest project from producer duo Mykja titled “Climate Change”. The album contains 7 tracks of focused dub-techno with a nice atmospheric quality (pun-intended). Mykja does a wonderful job mashing together distinct synths with percussion that is both relaxed yet filled with a sense of urgency.
The title is no happy accident either, as the duo describes – ‘Climate Change’ is formed to describe the relationship between man and nature, our impact on the environment that causes global change effect.

The duo creates incredibly satisfying tracks, flawlessly meshing their two styles into something both unique and enjoyable. Buzzing bass, throbbing kicks and splendid sample-work all make this album a must listen!

Tehnofonika Records Brings us a marvelous summer sampler of Dub-Techno tunes, perfect for relaxing while the sun sets on a hot day. Depth of Sadness is a new EP by Downtempo-Techno artist Jeremy Davies, better known as SLOWNOISE. This 4 track project was just released by Cold Tear Records of Lithuania, whom always seem to release quality tunes. This brief yet brilliant project is equally satisfying as it is relaxing, like a nice meal and a good beer. Well rounded synths and electronics balance perfectly with relaxed and subdued rhythms, with each track holding an energy of its own. Our long time favorite artist, Sage Taylor, debuts on Archives with a full EP under his latest project ‘aspect.’. You should know him for being the man behind some of the greatest dub techno and ambient releases of the last years as Textural Being or Parallelism. ‘Sanguine’ expands his color palette with a joyful atmosphere filled with lush chord lines and includes also three different versions of the addictive Hk.
