Somber atmospheric lo-fi from Tektra, brought to us by No Agreements as part of their Digital Series.
The tracks are tasteful and unique – claiming to have been produced entirely in one weekend, there is a cohesive energy that flows throughout the project. Despite touching all over the electronic music spectrum, Tektra manages to keep grip on the reins, taming the sounds to suit their needs.
Fresh from UK Future Garage label The Games We Playis the Last Of Us LP by Nu:Gravity – 11 deep atmospheric tunes with plenty of throbbing bass and shuffling rhythms. Featuring a plethora of collaborative tracks, highlighting some of the label and scenes other talent – notably EWPVTH and Sloati make an appearance, lending to the sonic diversity of the release.
If you’re not familiar with the labels output, this is a wonderful place to start, with a name-your-own-price download available as well as streaming on Soundcloud.
Struggling through hump-day?! Well give yourself a break with this dank re-release from Russian Techno Producer Kontext.
Acid Pasta EP was originally released February 21st, 2010, with some tracks being produced much earlier than that, however the project has aged quite well. Kontexts twisted vision of techno is robust on these 4 tracks, utilizing alien sounds and truly unique production on top of classic grooves.
‘Acid Pasta EP is not a brand new piece of work. It’s a best part of personal skill improvement I worked on at home studio in years 2005-2006. I wanted to find out if I could create something totally different from drum’n’bass and downtempo that I used to produce then. Something more about minimal 4×4 techno/house kinds of music.’ Kontext
