Echospace Label has a knack for releasing high quality dub-techno, I have grown to love them over the past few months. Once again they are presenting us with a fantastic effort from Soultek, what dreams are made of is a masterpiece of ambient dub. The story tells it is a recovered project from a defunct event, and boy am I glad this was preserved, and eventually released. They are already out of physical LP’s so you’ll have to settle for the digital download for now, or until it gets re-pressed!
Favorite Track: 3. The Dub Star
Dating back to 1994 when “What Dreams Are Made Of” was recorded for an underground event in Chicago, titled, “Dee Day” meant to be performed in the ambient room but never to materialize at that time due to limited space on the lineup and the sensational 6 hour ambient performance from Matthew Hawtin. 10 years later a small label in LA affiliated with Meat Beat Manifesto heard the demo of this material and the rest is history… These songs were most recently remastered and included on the double CD edition of “Dreaming Under A Starlit Sky” and now available for the first time in a digital format. From our hearts to yours.
